HintFlow Terms of Service
Welcome to HintFlow. Please read these Terms carefully before using the product. By downloading, installing, or using HintFlow (the "Product" or "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. What HintFlow Is
HintFlow is an AI mock-interview practice tool (a desktop application, currently available for Windows; a Mac version is planned separately). It helps you and a practice partner run mock interviews: it transcribes both sides of the conversation in real time, generates speakable reference answers and hint points, and produces a structured review report after the session ends.
HintFlow is not an interview-cheating tool and is not intended for any real-world setting where undisclosed assistance would be used. See Section 2.
2. Permitted Use (please read carefully)
The Service is intended for mock-interview practice only. You agree that you will:
- not use HintFlow to receive undisclosed assistance in any real-world setting, including but not limited to: actual job interviews, certification exams, online assessments, written/coding tests, or any other situation that requires independent, honest performance;
- not use the Service to deceive any third party (interviewer, examiner, employer, etc.) about your genuine abilities.
If we discover, or have reasonable grounds to suspect, that you have used the Service for any of the prohibited purposes above, you bear the consequences, and we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account without refunding any sessions already consumed.
3. Accounts
- Using HintFlow requires registering an account with your email address and signing in via an emailed verification code (no password needed);
- One email corresponds to one account, and one account is bound to one device. To switch devices, contact us at [email protected] to unbind;
- You may not transfer, lend, share, or resell your account, login credentials, or purchased session balance. Violating this will result in account termination without any refund;
- You are responsible for keeping access to your registration email secure. We are not responsible for losses resulting from your email being compromised.
4. Purchases and Billing
- The Service is billed in units of "sessions";
- Each session is capped at 90 minutes, and time does not accrue while a session is paused;
- Available plans (exact pricing is shown in the app's Billing page and on the pricing page of our website) include:
- Single session;
- 3-session pack;
- "Sprint Monthly Pass" (30 sessions / 30 days) (a soft fair-use cap to prevent extreme overuse; it is not an "unlimited" plan);
- Prices and plan contents may change at any time; plans or sessions already purchased before a change are not affected — their quantity, validity period, and billing terms remain as agreed at the time of purchase;
- Once a Sprint Monthly Pass is activated (its first session is consumed), it is non-refundable (an unactivated pass follows the refund policy, Section 12).
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
HintFlow's quick answers, deep-dive elaborations, and post-session structured review reports are all generated by third-party AI models. You understand and agree that:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or inaccuracies;
- All AI-generated content is provided for mock-practice reference only and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, investment, or any other kind of advice;
- You are solely responsible for any judgment, answer, or decision you make based on AI-generated content.
6. Intellectual Property
- HintFlow's software, built-in question bank, interface design, trademarks, and related technology are owned by us;
- Resumes, job descriptions (JDs), and other materials you upload to your personal knowledge base remain your property; we use them only within the scope of providing the Service (see the Privacy Policy) and not for any purpose beyond these Terms;
- You may not copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, distribute, or commercially exploit the HintFlow software or built-in question bank without authorization.
7. Service Availability
HintFlow relies on third-party speech-recognition and large-language-model providers for its core functionality. Accordingly:
- We do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted service; outages, rate limits, maintenance, or policy changes at upstream providers may cause temporary unavailability;
- We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned major maintenance;
- We are not liable for damages beyond the scope of the Refund Policy arising from service interruptions caused by force majeure or third-party providers.
8. Termination and Account Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate the Permitted Use restrictions in Section 2;
- You violate the Account terms in Section 3 (e.g., sharing or reselling your account);
- You abuse the refund policy in bad faith (see Refund Policy, Section 5);
- You otherwise seriously breach these Terms.
Once an account is terminated, sessions already consumed will not be refunded; whether unconsumed sessions are refunded is governed by the applicable provisions of the Refund Policy. You may also request to close your account at any time — see Privacy Policy, Section 5.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app announcement or email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
